With the new AirPods, wireless listening is even easier. Remove them from the charging case and they are ready to use with your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac.

You can configure AirPods with a simple tap. After that everything will go by itself. They turn on automatically and stay connected to your devices. They detect when you have them in. And pause when you take them off.

Want to adjust the volume, change tracks, make a phone call or ask for directions? Just say “Hey Siri” and make your request. You can use one or both AirPods as desired. And play or skip music or podcasts with two taps.

A single charge is good for 5 hours of listening time¹ and 3 hours of talk time.² And with the wireless charging case, you can recharge your AirPods multiple times for more than 24 hours of battery life.³ Charging is very fast. Fifteen minutes in the case is good for 3 hours of listening time⁴ or 2 hours of talk time.⁵

AirPods are powered by the all-new Apple H1 headphone chip and use optical sensors and an accelerometer to detect when they're in your ears. Whether you're using one or both AirPods, the H1 chip automatically transmits the sound and turns on the microphone. And when you're on a call or talking to Siri, an additional accelerometer along with beam-shaping microphones helps filter out extraneous noise so your voice can be heard more clearly.
